Granite Staters will have another chance Saturday to safely dispose of expired or unwanted drugs. All drugs are turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for safe destruction. “Disposing of unnecessary drugs helps us protect the safety and health of our community. Families can reduce the risk of medications falling into the wrong hands by bringing unused medications to one of our more than 4,100 locations on Saturday,” said DEA Director Anne Milgram. DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, and patches. Syringes, medications, and illegal drugs will not be collected. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, They should be kept in their original container. Vaping devices and cartridges will also be accepted, as long as the lithium batteries are removed. The DEA holds return dates twice a year , the center and its partners collected 335 tons of unused medicine, bringing the total of the past 15 years to 9 285 tons. Drop-off points are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Disposing of unnecessary medicines helps us to protect the safety and health of our community. “Families can reduce the risk of medications falling into the wrong hands by bringing unused medications to one of our more than 4,100 drop-off locations on Saturdays,” said DEA Administrator Anne Milgram.

The DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other types of prescription drugs. Syringes, pills, and illegal drugs will not be collected.

The DEA holds take-back days twice a year. In April, the center and its partners collected 335 tons of unused medicine, bringing the 15-year total to 9,285 tons.

Drop-off centers are open from 10 am to 2 pm
